HelpmeSolder
Soldering guides you can just follow.
Tell your AI assistant what you want to build. You get a step-by-step guide showing exactly what to solder and where, with no circuit diagrams to decode.
Your chat plans it. We draw it from real parts.
HelpmeSolder is not a chatbot. Your own Claude or Cursor does the planning and calls our tools. Every diagram is drawn from a parts catalog, so pins are never invented.
Plan in chat
Describe your project to Claude or Cursor. It picks a board and parts from the catalog and asks about power and sensors.
Tools write the guide
MCP tools add parts, wires and steps. Bad pins or unsafe voltages are blocked, with safer alternatives suggested.
Open the link
You get a secret URL with a parts prep list, a full wiring diagram and step-by-step soldering notes. It updates as the chat iterates.
Connect it to your AI in two minutes
This is a small plug that lets your AI assistant, like Claude or Cursor, use HelpmeSolder. You add one web address, once. Then you can ask your assistant for a soldering guide. There is nothing to install and no key to find.
Add the address to your AI app
Choose your app with the switch and follow the numbered steps. In some menus you will see the letters MCP. That is the name of the plug. If the app asks, restart it.
Say what you want to build
Claude asks which power source and sensor you have, then replies with a secret link to your guide.
Use HelpmeSolder to make me a guide for an ESP32 that reads a soil moisture sensor and sounds a buzzer when the soil is dry.
Pick the app you use. Not sure which one you use? Start with the Claude app.
Easiest way. For the Claude app or claude.ai in your browser. No coding.
https://helpmesolder.vercel.app/mcp- Copy the address above.
- Open Claude and click Settings.
- Click Connectors.
- Press Add custom connector.
- In Name, type HelpmeSolder.
- Click the address box and paste the address.
- Press Add.
- Start a new chat. Press the + button (or the tools menu).
- Switch HelpmeSolder on.
Some plans only let the account owner add connectors. If you do not see the button, ask whoever manages your team.
Or let your AI do it
Paste this sentence into a chat with your assistant. Some assistants can set it up for you.
Please add this remote MCP server to yourself: https://helpmesolder.vercel.app/mcp (name: helpmesolder)How do I know it worked?
Start a new chat and ask this:
What can HelpmeSolder do?
It should list tools like create_guide and add_part. Or just describe your project and it will start asking about power and sensors.
Eight tools, one guide
- list_catalog
- Browse boards, modules, passives and ready-made recipes.
- get_part_details
- Read a part in full: how to tell it apart, pins, voltage limits and what to watch out for.
- create_guide
- Start a guide and get its secret link.
- ask_power_source
- Ask you how the build is powered, never guessing.
- ask_sensor
- Ask you which exact sensor or input module to use.
- add_part
- Place a catalog part on the guide.
- add_connection
- Wire two exact pins together.
- set_steps
- Write the ordered soldering steps and notes.
- validate_guide
- Check pins and voltages, and get alternatives for any problem.
Guides live at a secret, unguessable link. There are no accounts, so anyone with the link can view the guide.
Your guide link is private and unlisted. Guides are deleted automatically if nobody opens them for 30 days. Opening or updating a guide resets the timer.
